The Eschenbach Castle is a listed building in Eschenbach. The castle was built in 1230 as a moated castle. In the 13th century, the area was owned by the Imperial Ministerial von Hartenstein and the envious stone related to them. After these families died out, Eschenbach came under the sovereignty of the taverns of Reicheneck in 1324. In 1552, like almost all fortifications in the Nuremberg area, the building was completely destroyed during the Second Margarfen War. The reconstruction took place in 1554 and since then the castle has been preserved almost unchanged. The castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.
