It is exciting to see how the delicate Wupper flows into the mighty Rhine at Leverkusen-Rheindorf. Coming out of the Bergisch with a lot of strength, she loses herself almost unnoticed at the estuary into the Rhine. You can watch this spectacle of the ship bridge and the café below deck in a particularly relaxed way. An ideal place to stop off, at the beginning or at the end of a tour.

The next time I really should take a rest here. Looks a bit tempting.

Here can be enjoyed at certain times a break in the café on the bridge!

Certainly worth a visit. On the ships you can fortify yourself with cakes and other treats and in good weather chairs on the banks of the Rhine invite you to linger. But even the transition is an attraction.

There are sweet treats in the boats. A break is worthwhile here.

There are (weekend) also refreshments, as well as coffee and cake. Unfortunately is not always open, so you have to take the path along the highway, if you want to cross the Leverkusen bridge. Unfortunately, this way is closed July '18 because of construction!

On a bike ride along the Rhine, you should take a look at this unique attraction and maybe even plan a break. Here you can buy cakes and other treats for sale.

A bridge connection as the last crossing before the confluence of the Wupper and the Rhine has already been named An der Kaiserliche Brücke for 1775. It consists of three ships called Unity, Right and Freedom, which are connected by a dock.

If it was open when it should be open - about 20 cyclists had to return within half an hour, in addition to the construction site below the highway - you better change in Hitdorf by ferry on the Rhine side!
