Steep iron ladders help to overcome the height.

A bit of skill in getting started, then many levels - very nice!

After the ascent via the Wildschützenstieg to the Schrammstein prospect, we covered a piece on the Schrammsteingrad and then descended the Jägerstieg. We would call the path medium. Feasible without exercise but some stamina and sure-footedness is required. Not for little kids and dogs.

Good climbing facility. Also possible for the "less experienced". If possible, only go uphill. Crux is the entry.

A steep but well constructed climb to the viewpoint on the Schrammsteinen. The ladders and tugs provide a secure grip and are easier to walk than e.g. the robin walk, in which a little bit of climbing skills is shifted. There are also good opportunities for evasion, if the puff stays out and you can easily overtake faster hikers. In the rain and in the morning dew, the steps can be a bit slippery. Suitable footwear and care during the climb should be in the Elbsandsteingebirge anyway.

Fun scramble for everyone. There's always something to hold on to, so you should get up there.

Some paths and especially stairs (e.g. this one) are more pleasant as an ascent than a descent. You can plan the direction of your hiking tour accordingly.

Easy to commit with some iron ladders.

On the way to Malerweg Stage 4. Again and again there are stages on which iron stairs and iron ladders have to be climbed.
