At Hofheim above Eichelsdorf, with 487 m above sea level, was prehistoric a refuge. The ring-like fortifications of this defensive system are still visible in the terrain as Erdwälle and reconstructed in their function. From the observation tower, which was built in 2001, you have a beautiful view of the "Hofheimer basin", Bavarian and Thuringian Rhön, Franconian Alb, Steigerwald and Schweinfurter country.
