A local recreation destination that is well known far beyond our community and a popular leisure attraction in the summer months is the Gold Canal, a bathing lake that has been created by gravel mining since the 1930s and is popular with water sports enthusiasts, anglers and walkers alike.
As part of the PAMINA-Rheinpark, the area is well developed for hikers. Those who walk on the laid-out paths will be able to discover much of the pristine beauty of the meadow landscape.
