Bike Touring Highlight
In addition to the weekly market, there are also attractions on the square that are permanently anchored. During the market time, however, they are not very noticeable due to the hustle and bustle. On the one hand, it is one of the last eight historic advertising pillars in the city. It dates from around 1900 and is located on the southeastern edge of the square. It is composed of a brick base and a small round pointed roof. The overlying conical green ceramic roof is supported by an iron structure. At the top of the roof is the so-called "Hamburger Rose".
The old advertising pillars are all listed buildings.hamburg.de/oeffentliche-plaetze/4257230/grossneumarkt
