Two people with stunt kites stand as bronze figures on the banks of the Outer Alster, two children or a father with his child. Gerhard Brandes' sculpture from 1963 is very familiar to many Hamburgers, since it has been in Alsterpark for over fifty years. The two people go about their leisure activities with ease and gain their artistic expression through the harmonious harmony of their postures. Although both stand still, the depiction by the two bloated dragons and the stretched arms appears lively and open.sh-kunst.de/gerhard-brandes-drachensteigen

The sculptures on the banks of the Alster are an asset - not just for a Sunday walk. And depending on the season and the weather, they offer a new perspective.
