Alpine Skiing Highlight
In the winter of 2006/2007, the new Fellhornbahn II orbit built by Leitner with 8-seater cabins was opened, which runs parallel to the first section. Over a length of 2813 m, it overcomes a height difference of 855 m. As a special feature, it has a middle station at an altitude of around 1300 m, where you can get in and out and where the garage for the cabins is located. Although the cabins in the station are engaged and disengaged, the orbit only has one section, since the cable runs continuously from the valley to the mountain station, is driven in the mountain station and is hydraulically tensioned in the valley station. At a maximum speed of 6 m / s (21.6 km / h) it has a conveying capacity of 2400 people per hour. It is Germany's longest single-cable orbit. The Faistenoy – Höfle double chairlift and the Höfle drag lift were therefore dismantled.Wikipedia
