The first massive bridge in the former Münden was the old Werra bridge from the 14th century. The next solid Weserübergänge existed during the Middle Ages as well as in the early modern period in Höxter and in Hameln. In 1852, after four years of construction, the stone railway bridge over the Werra for the Dransfelder Rampe was built as a further bridge in Münden, then called Hannoversch Münden. The Pioneer Bridge over the Fulda was completed in 1882 and connected the old town with Altmünden and Neumünden. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weserbrücke_(Hann._Münden)
