Lonely, in the middle of the forest and in a very idyllic Romanesque chapel in Keuerstadt. The chapel is dedicated to St. Nicholas. It was built in 1280 and renovated in style in 1971. However, nobody lives in Keuerstadt anymore. The place had always had at least a handful of inhabitants for centuries and there are also buildings in Keuerstadt: the chapel above and a small recreational home. The lonely location in the forest today cannot hide the fact that this area was largely cleared in the Middle Ages and that it was very lively. From the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century, a trunk road ran through the town. There were several mills and farms here. A restaurant also existed in the 19th century. In the new chronicle of Jagstzell it says that the place looks mysterious, and: "Keuerstadt still has a special fascination for visitors to this day ..."
