We are walking up the next day.Niederalfingen Castle, also known as Marienburg or Fuggerschloss, is a spur castle on a mountain spur above the Kochertal in the Niederalfingen district of the municipality of Hüttlingen in the Ostalb district in Baden-Württemberg.Around 1050, the castle was built as a Hohenstaufen plant to secure important trade routes, after 1300 it became the property of the Knights of Seckendorf, in 1368 it was owned by Count Eberhard the Greiner of Württemberg, in 1415 it was owned by the nobles of Hürnheim, and in 1551 it passed mighty castle complex to the Augsburg Fugger, from 1575 to 1577 the castle is rebuilt and expanded.The castle now serves as a youth education center, leisure center and school camp.
