The Wachau is a beautiful section on the Danube in Niederöstereich and is located between Melk Abbey and Göttweig Abbey. Melk, Spitz, Dürnstein and Krems are historic communities that have thrilled us on our bike ride through the Wachau. World-famous is this UNESCO World Heritage Site through its vineyards and apricot products.

For me one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, section of this route along the Danube. A real highlight that you should enjoy in a relaxed manner. Really great!
