The early Christian stone-carved church with much older history in the forecourt is an impressive site. A trip is worth it! The forecourt has several rest areas with a view of Scharzfeld.

Very beautiful path in lush green,

The castle Scharzfels was considered by the steep rocks as impregnable and was not conquered in the 30 year war. Gorgeous resort with many informative billboards.

Great view. Only the windows are piling up and in my opinion don't have to be everywhere. That's probably why it was dismantled here.
