Camping right around the lake is prohibited here, but there are only a few meters to many established campsites with fire rings.

There is a wide open field here with several pull-offs if you have your car at this point. This is an excellent spot to set up camp since there is no camping at Marshall Lake, itself. There are tremendous views of the San Francisco Peaks to the north and Mormon Mountain to the south from the field.
