Here on the Kloosterberg you can see parts of the old 16th-18th century immunity wall with the small passage gate. And also the 17th century bluestone immunity gate, which is the only one of the original 7 gates remaining. This gate, with the 2 houses at numbers 2 and 4 behind it, is a real photo hotspot.

Vaellus

The territory, which was directly under the authority and administration of the Queen Abbess, was closed by seven immunity gates. This sole remaining gate connects to the immunity wall. it is a round arch gate with a rectangular tension on the south side, dating from the 17th-18th century. Furthermore, the immunity wall south of the large gate contains a gate with Gothic profiled reveals and a segmental arch-shaped entrance near the beguinage. At the bottom of the Kloosterberg are two brick posts as remains of the immunity gate on the Thornerbeek.
