Entisen Tasgetiumin linnan rauniot, joiden pohjapiirros on edelleen suurelta osin tunnistettavissa, sijaitsevat Stein am Rheinin vasemmalla puolella, Bruggin edessä. Linna rakennettiin alamanien hyökkäysten seurauksena hieman ennen vuotta 300 jKr., ja se oli osa laajaa puolustusjärjestelmää. Sen mitat (88 x 91 metriä) voidaan edelleen määrittää vuosina 1900 ja 1911 restauroitujen muurien perusteella. Ei tiedetä, milloin rajavalvonnasta luovuttiin. Tämän seurauksena muurien sisälle syntyi alamaaniasutus. Ensimmäinen kirkkorakennus (nykyinen kirkko 1100–1500-luvuilta) on peräisin 500-luvulta.
