The church, a listed Roman Catholic house of worship, has been a central part of the town of Hofheim for several centuries. The first church structures there date back to the 14th century.
Architectural History:
âą The Gothic chancel and tower date from the late 15th century and have been preserved to this day.
âą The spire was demolished in 1923 and later rebuilt in the Neo-Baroque style.
âą Between 1926 and 1927, the nave was rebuilt and enlarged (Neo-Baroque).
âą The current church building, with its nave, transept, and new chancel, was constructed during this period.
