The Bismarck tower is in the optics park. From the beginning 1914 to 1942 stood under the roof still a Bismarckstatue. The tower is 32 meters high. On the vineyard, a recreational park close to the city center (2006 part of the State Garden Show), stands the 32 m high Bismarck tower, inaugurated in 1914, built in honor of Otto von Bismarck, who was born near Rathenow in Schönhausen / Elbe. The tower was heavily damaged in 1945, in the 1960s there were attempts to rebuild an observatory, in 2003 it was re-opened after renovation.
