At 1.6 kilometers long, it is the longest tunnel in France accessible by bike and open to a greenway. Don't forget to bring warm clothing when crossing, because the interior temperature is only around 11°C!
The Bois Clair tunnel is used by cyclists and pedestrians; it was once a railway line.
It is home to a population of protected bats which come to hibernate there. This is why it is closed between October and April. You must then use the diversion via route 14 which takes the Cluny road and the D17.
