Half-round defense tower of about 1500. Together with the 1630 collapsed Kruittoren he guarded the entrance of the port. The whitewash at Campveerse Toren is reminiscent of whale hunting, which was also operated from 1618-1670 from Veere. Since 1560 the tower is also used as a hostel. Today it houses a hotel with restaurant.
