The Hôtel de Ville of Roubaix is an impressive building located on the Grand-Place in Roubaix, France. It was built between 1907 and 1911 by the architect Victor Laloux, who also designed the Gare d'Orsay in Paris. The building is designed in an eclectic style and has a monumental facade of almost 100 meters long. The Hôtel de Ville is a witness to the industrial boom of Roubaix in the 19th century and is now a cultural center and a place for artistic experimentation.

The facade of the main building, which is connected to two side wings, is graceful and impressive at the same time, in keeping with the city's ambitions at the beginning of the 20th century. The vertical lines of the main building are further emphasized by the 12 ionic columns. Above the second floor of the main building is the monumental frieze* with scenes from the industrial history of Roubaix. Depicted are about forty figures and their crafts, such as harvesting cotton, shearing sheep, spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing. (Michelin)
