You can use this floating platform to ferry yourself and your bike across Nine Mile Creek, which is too deep to wade. Unfortunately for us, the ferry was dismantled for the season the day before, so we had to turn around. Soon the creek will be iced over and then can cross without difficulty.

They have also added a "bridge" made out of a fallen tree with planks nailed to it and a rope "hand-rail". Looks challenging, but I think the water is too low to get the ferry across right now.

Lautta näyttää päivitetyltä, samoin kuin uusi silta kaatuneiden puiden yli. Kumpikaan vaihtoehto ei ollut sitä, mitä tarvitsin tänään käännöspisteessäni, mutta pääsin tänne lopulta lännestä tänään! Woohoo!
