Very nice and modern information center. Also offers enough space to take shelter in case of sudden changes in the weather. Also recommended for a break because of the sanitary facilities and the spacious picnic area. In some places there is information via QR code in German.
There are nets for children to borrow for the nature walk - if you like them.

Vaellus

The large coastal area of Gyldensteen Strand is Funen's largest restoration project.

Once there were fields here, but now the coastal dikes have been removed.

Gyldensteen Strand is the largest restored nature reserve on Funen. The 616-hectare area was previously a reclaimed area of fields and farmland. Now the dikes have been removed and the sea has been let back in. The Danish foundation, Aage V. Jensen Nature Foundation, purchased the area and created a shallow coastal lagoon, a freshwater lake, and a reed bed.
