Historical point: around 1390 the village of Andepen and its little church were razed to the ground. Only 100 years later Johan Graf von Westphalen dared to start a new company. The deed of incorporation is dated April 30, 1490.
The Andeper bell stayed in a farming family for centuries. In 1994 and 1996 Leiberger associations redesigned the old Andep church and built a bell tower with a copy of the old Andep bell.

In the early Middle Ages, the village of Andepen stood here with one of the first Christian churches. Robber barons destroyed the village and church in 1390. Today a bell tower with a copy of the Andeper bell reminds of the church.
