This pretty section of the route runs parallel and in parts very close to the Unstrut, which still flows in its original riverbed in several loops in this area. On the northern side, a former vineyard protects, the bank area is lined with pollarded willows and dense bank vegetation, which offers valuable protection for insects and birds in particular. 35 species of butterflies can be discovered in the nature reserve. In the middle of the section and on the outskirts of Großvargula there are several clean seating areas that invite you to linger. Here you should take a break. :-)
