The former church and the place are beautiful.
Unfortunately, the cultural monument registered since 1991 was destroyed by the barbarism of the Buran director Troška, who not only had the remains of baroque paintings painted over for his 2001 film (rating only 24%), but also did not allow the Church was restored to its original condition after filming was completed.

About the existence of the Church of St. We already have documents of John the Baptist in these places from the 16th century. What you find today are the remains of a much younger building. The baroque renovation of the pilgrimage church took place in the first half of the 18th century. What is interesting is that, in addition to the church, there were several other buildings and fortifications that protected the settlement. The reconstruction was financed by the Plán landowner Václav from Sinzendorf and consecrated in 1732 by the Kladruber abbot Josef Sieber.
