Maastopyöräily
In the Schweinsheide between Bassum and Harpstedt, a telecommunications system for the military communication of the Wehrmacht was to be built on behalf of the Deutsche Reichspost. A total of three radio towers were planned to be built on massive bunkers. Construction began around 1939. However, since the need for the radio system was no longer considered important, the project was finally stopped in September 1941. Only one of the bunkers had been completed by then, but the technical facilities were no longer installed. The other two towers were only completed up to the floor slab.
