Beautiful place, and easily rideable with a gravel bike.

An absolute highlight in autumn!

Just in case some stupid AI rewrites it again. My intended title for this highlight is: "Super Oaks - Real Giants!"

Very close to the quiet cobblestone road stand two magnificent, healthy giant oaks. They are almost unbelievably thick. I estimate the width or diameter of one of the trees to be a good 2 meters. That makes a very impressive circumference of approximately 6.3 meters. - You should measure it precisely, just for fun!

It's only open Wednesday to Sunday. But at least there are restrooms nearby, apparently, because they're specifically indicated.

A very nice, quiet resting spot, but unfortunately, there's no view of Lake Wolletz. Trees and thick bushes completely block the view.

The detour to the lake is worthwhile; it's simply pure nature. You can even take a break right by the water.

The Wolletzsee refuge offers hikers a simple but useful shelter right on the shore of the lake. Overlooking the 330-hectare Wolletzsee, which is nestled in the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve, it is a welcome rest stop for anyone exploring the 16.5-kilometer hiking trail around the lake. The lake itself is a popular local recreation area and attracts not only nature lovers but also history buffs. South of the lake is the impressive Grumsin beech forest, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hut, simple and functional, fits perfectly into this tranquil environment and offers protection from wind or a sudden shower of rain. An ideal place to stop for a moment, enjoy the fresh air and let your gaze wander over the water. Anyone traveling in this area will certainly appreciate the refuge, as it offers a practical break on the long walk around the lake.
