The Astate is a peak culminating at 1,022 meters above sea level on the ridges of Iparla. Located on the GR 10 and right on the Franco-Spanish border, it offers extraordinary views of the Pyrenees chain.

Magnificent segment on the ridges of Gorramendi. It connects the summit of Alkaxuri (965 meters) to that of Gorramakil (1,090 meters). Superb panoramas on the ridges of Iparla, Artzamendi, and the valley of Baztan. Stay vigilant on this rather technical and sometimes aerial section.
