Peak District Walks

After returning from Australia in 2018 I decided that I would be a tourist in my own country. I grew up about an hour from The Peak district and had only been there a handful of times over the years on school trips or with work. I'd never done any long hikes or solo walks that's for sure! I decided to learn how to read a map and then stumbled across the life changing app that is komoot to plan and share my adventures :D I made it my mission to explore as much of the Peaks as possible and see what the fuss was all about. I discovered that life is what you make it and that adventure can be found on your doorstep but you have to go out and find it, it doesn't come to you. One of my favourite places for sunset is Bamford Edge and Ladybower Reservoir is a great base for exploring. I love watching sunrise from Mam Tor and there are some amazing little villages and pubs to explore around your hikes! From wild swimming to wild camping, sunsets and sunrise, meetups and pub food... I fell in love with the Peak District and everything it has to offer. I also have a love for the Outdoor city that is Sheffield with its community vibe and it has the Peaks right on its doorstep.
