Where the Landauer Hütte stands today, carpenters worked for the construction of Neuscharfeneck Castle in the 13th century. This is less than a kilometer away in a northwesterly direction. Later, here was the castle garden of the castle, where vegetables and spices were grown. Very nice PWV hut with a large beer garden.

The Landauer Hütte am Zimmerbrunnen is a refuge hut managed by the Landau section of the Palatine Forest Association in the Palatinate Forest. It is located in the southern part of the Haardt on a "Zimmerplatz" called saddle between the Rossberg (637 m) in the north and the Orensberg (581 m) in the south or the Hainbachtal in the east and the Dernbachtal in the west. The hut is located at an altitude of 460 m.

Saturday, Sunday and public holidays
from 11:00 to 17:00
Wednesdays (May to October)
from 11:00 to 17:00
