    San Carlo a Negrentino is a Romanesque church in the municipality of Acquarossa. It was built in the 11th century and dedicated to Sant'Ambrogio, then to San Carlo Borromeo. From here you have a beautiful view of the Blenio valley, also known as the valley of the sun.

    The church is located west of the village Prugiasco and lies at an altitude of 854 meters. The first parts of the building were already built in the 11th century. The climb from Prugiasco is quite steep. The church can be reached more comfortably from Leontica via a suspension bridge since 2007. The keys are available in the restaurants in Acquarossa and Leontica.
