Here you can discover parts of the former castle as well as the well-preserved coat of arms of the von dem Bussche family, who played a significant role in the late 14th century. Nestled in the charming landscape of the Minden-Lübbecke district, the historic ruins invite you to a fascinating break amidst nature and the past.

The museum farm is a fully furnished farmstead with all its tools and outbuildings, reflecting the way of life in the 19th century. Upon request, museum education programs such as baking, indigo dyeing, beekeeping, spinning, and weaving are offered for groups. Several times a year, on Sundays and public holidays, milling and baking days take place on the grounds. On these days, the horse mill is in operation, bread and cakes are baked in the old 16th-century stone oven, and traditional farming and craft techniques are demonstrated. Rahden Castle is a former moated castle in the town of Rahden in the Minden-Lübbecke district. The castle ruins are located in the Kleinendorf district near the Große Aue river.
