Ronov is a castle ruin northeast of Blíževedel in the Česká Lípa district of the Liberec Region. It is located on the top of Ronov Hill, which is part of the Ralská pahorkatina. The remains of the castle are protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The oldest direct reports about the castle date back to the fifteenth century. In 1438 it was owned by Vilém of Ilburk, who significantly rebuilt the castle. After 1538, the Stvolínec fortress became the main seat of the nobility, and Ronov gradually turned into a ruin.

A dream hotel at the summit. Those who want to stay overnight should plan well in advance, as it's usually fully booked. The restaurant offers all kinds of refreshments for hikers. Prices are moderate despite the exclusive location. Card payments are accepted. Cash in crowns or euros.

Loupežnický vrch (Raubschlossberg, 539 m) is a relatively flat, two-peaked basalt mountain located about 2 km east of Petrovice. The higher northern peak is a basalt cliff partially excavated by a quarry, while the southern peak (531 m) is a rather inconspicuous hill.

Even if the Ronberg is still covered in morning mist and cannot be seen at all during the early ascent, the view from the Ronburg on the summit of the Kegelberg is all the more beautiful over the mist and the sun rising above it 🌞 🙂; moments that are magical and make time stand still. Incidentally, the historic hiking trails Kegelweg and Westlicher Rautenweg cross at the Ronberg.
