The Hanavský Pavilion in Letná Park was built in 1891 in the Art Nouveau style, originally as an exhibition pavilion for the Bohemian Industrial and Trade Exhibition. It is constructed of steel and glass, which was an innovative design for the time and makes it an early example of modern architecture. The name "Hanavský" comes from the Hanava family, who financed the pavilion. From the pavilion, there is a spectacular panoramic view of Prague's Old Town, the Vltava River, Prague Castle, and the Charles Bridge.

Everyone knows it, everyone has seen it in photos – and yet, in real life, the Charles Bridge feels like a small miracle. It's that moment when you step onto it and your gaze sweeps across the Vltava River, while a street musician plays in the background, and the cobblestones glisten slightly underfoot. Then you feel it: This is where the heart of Prague beats.

The Hanavský Pavilion is one of the most impressive Art Nouveau buildings and was originally built as a representative pavilion for the Komárovský Ironworks for the Prague Agricultural Jubilee Exhibition in 1891. At the time, it was the first building in Prague with a cast-iron structure.

Štorch House (Storch House) – a Neo-Gothic apartment building from 1896–1897 located in Old Town Square in Prague, built for the publisher A. Štorch. The building was erected on the site of an older Gothic house. The apartment building was severely damaged during the Prague Uprising of 1945 and subsequently restored. The facade is decorated with frescoes by L. Novák, depicting, among other things, Saint Wenceslas on horseback, Jan Amos Comenius, and symbols of Prague. A Madonna figure is located above the entrance, and sculptures of the Evangelists adorn the bay window.

Well, the original design is barely recognizable anymore. It's basically just a wall for graffiti and for saying "I was here." There are only a few good pieces to be seen. The fact that the wall will already be 45 years old in 2025 was quite impressive.

A Neo-Baroque cast-iron and masonry structure in Prague's Letná Park, originally built as a showcase pavilion for the Komárov Ironworks at the 1891 Jubilee Exhibition. After the exhibition ended, Prince Vilém Hanavský donated the pavilion to the city of Prague, and it was dismantled and reconstructed at its current location, where it now serves as a panoramic restaurant with sweeping views of the city.

I visited this place when I was a child. Thirty years ago, it made a huge impression on me. Today, after visiting many similar facilities, I can honestly say that it's the worst technology museum I've ever been to. The collection itself is okay. The presentation method - reminiscent of my childhood "DO NOT TOUCH" - is very outdated.
