A very beautiful wooden structure, completed in 2004 as a normal open bridge. During the use of the bridge, which is just over 50 meters wide, it was discovered that the structure could be damaged over time by environmental influences, so in 2022 it was decided to provide the bridge with a roof and thus continue its use as a covered bridge.

A beautiful, quiet village that serves as a starting point for various hikes and mountain tours. The parish church and the adjacent village square serve as the center of the village. The water flows from the lake via the approximately 500-meter-long Walchseebach stream on the eastern side into the Weißenbach stream. This stream, in turn, flows via the Kohlenbach stream into the Großache stream, which empties into Lake Chiemsee near Grabenstätt.
