The historicist palace from the 19th century bears witness to Virovitica as a trading center, which is most directly evidenced by the statue of Mercury, the Roman god of trade, located on the building of the savings bank.

The complex was created in the second half of the 18th century and therefore bears all the characteristics of elegant and energetic baroque. The interior of the church is decorated with the main and side altars with rich baroque ornamentation and a monumental organ. The original furniture has been preserved in the sacristy, while the refectory is one of the most solemn preserved Baroque spaces in the region. Since 2011, the Franciscan Museum has been operating within the complex with a collection consisting of tens of thousands of items of church dishes, vestments, furniture, paintings and sculptures, and a rich library.

The old town in Đurđevac is a beautiful medieval fortress. It used to be surrounded by a swamp that was its natural protection. Known for the legend of the Picoks, according to which the residents of Đurđevac are also nicknamed. Today, it houses the Museum of the City of Đurđevac, with a very attractive permanent exhibition of Croatian artists, and frequent attractive exhibition projects. There is also a restaurant in the Old Town.
