Gerakas Beach, a beautiful beach known for its gentle sandy shores. This beach is not only a paradise for those seeking relaxation, but also an important breeding ground for the Caretta Caretta turtles, making it a special place that we visited with respect and admiration. It was an enriching experience that made us understand the beauty and fragility of marine life and the importance of protecting our natural treasures.

A beautiful little island that can be reached via a wooden bridge (as of August 2024). If you then want to enter the island, you pay 5 EUR per person. The "entrance fee" also includes a souvenir photo, which you can take with you in the form of a keychain when you leave the island. If you want a larger photo, you have to pay another 12 EUR. Unfortunately, the beach on the island was closed during our visit due to a wedding, but the kiosk was open. Ultimately, a small island with some beautiful photo opportunities and a tourist "must-see" on the island. Whether that is worth 5 EUR to someone is up to them to decide.
