The section of the Aller Cycle Path from Hornbostel to just before Marklendorf runs idyllically along the Aller River and offers a quiet, natural route with a high recreational value. The path is paved in sections, otherwise smooth gravel, easy to navigate, and almost entirely flat, making it ideal for leisurely bike rides—whether with the family, on an e-bike, or on a touring bike. The landscape is characterized by river meadows, pastures, and forests, with beautiful views of the Aller River itself in places. Overall, this section is a pleasantly quiet, scenically diverse section of the Aller Cycle Path, perfect for relaxing rides in natural surroundings.

Impressive stone monuments in the middle of the military training area - a visit that will have a lasting impact. The Seven Stone Houses are located on the Bergen military training area. To avoid having to stand in front of closed access roads, I ask you to find out about the shooting times below beforehand. Please have your ID ready. The entrance / barrier is in the town of Osterholz. The Ölberg (Oil Hill) in Wietze was formed from washing sand and spoil from oil production. It is a unique viewpoint. From 1930 until the final closure of the oil well in 1963, the Ölberg served as a dumping ground for this washing sand and spoil. The hill rises to a height of 41.5 meters and has been reclaimed by nature. Today, the Ölberg is not only a silent testament to Wietze's industrial past, but also a popular viewpoint and place for experiencing nature.

Wonderful tour of Wietze via the Hornbostel / Bannetze lock. Through the forest to Meißendorf. It's worth taking a break on the Gut Sunder site with iced coffee and delicious cake. There is also the Nabu with its exhibition. A tour through the pond landscape, a paradise for nature lovers. On the way back to Wietze in the direction of Bannetze, with lookout towers and a view of the Meißendorf ponds.
