The burial mound field covers an area of approximately 20 hectares with a maximum size of 700 by 500 meters and contains around 150 burial mounds of various sizes. Humans were probably first buried here in the Middle Bronze Age around 1600 BC; according to archaeological finds, the site served as a burial site until the Iron Age around 600 BC. People of this period buried their dead in wooden burial chambers, over which an artificial mound several meters high was raised as a visible grave monument. While the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments recorded around 90 visible burial mounds in its cadastral maps in the 1930s, the number of graves had dropped to 58 by the time topographical surveys were conducted in 1976. The drainage of meadows and pastures and their conversion to arable land exposed the millennia-old cemetery to gradual destruction through soil erosion, land consolidation, leveling, excavation, and development. The Sempt arises near Ottenhofen from the confluence of the Anzinger Sempt and the shorter Forstinninger Sempt. It is heavily fed by groundwater from the gravel plain, so that it is relatively cool in summer, rarely exceeding 17 °C, but it does not freeze in winter.[4] The most important tributary is the Strogen, which flows into Moosburg. At Wörth the Schwillach flows into the Sempt. At Berglern, the Sempt passes under the Mittlere-Isar Canal and flows into it between the compensation pond and the Echinger reservoir.

A beautiful lake on the edge of Erding. Visually, the lake appears to be of excellent quality. There are some ants in the area of the nudist beach... 🐜🐜🐜

From afar you can see a strange pimple in the landscape. And even if this pimple is old, recent history puts the egg on it.

The headwaters of the Forstinninger Sempt is an amazingly idyllic area with several fish ponds, narrow paths and several break benches, northwest of Forstinning just north of the A94. The Semptquelle is point 10 of the historic Forstinninger Radlrundweg. A treasure from the Middle Bronze Age (1200 BC) was discovered in the source area, comprising around 50 clasp bars. These served as a means of payment and the bronzesmith as raw material for the manufacture of weapons, jewelry and tools. Three of the bars are on display in a display case in the auditorium of the Forstinningen elementary school.
