On the eastern shore of Lake Wörthersee, between the Lend Canal and Maiernigg, lies a very special piece of nature. But since they refused to convert, the Wörthersee Mandl opened a small barrel he had brought with him, from which endless, unstoppable masses of water flowed – creating today's Wörthersee and swallowing the then town.
