The foundation preserves the only rhinoceros in Côte d'Ivoire, along with buffalo, waterbuck, monkeys, antelopes, and warthogs. The N'ZI Safari offers a tour allowing you to see animals in the wild in a vast natural space and appreciate the beauty of the flora. Adrenaline thrills are guaranteed, with the option of a night safari or a mountain bike safari, allowing you to see the bush from a completely different perspective. Experienced rangers accompany cyclists as they pedal along ancient trails. Mountain bike safaris are adapted to the riders' fitness and strength. https://nziriverlodges.com/about/activities/ This reserve, the only private one of this size in the country, was founded in 1998 with the purchase of 8,000 hectares by the director's father with the intention of creating a hunting reserve. They quickly understood that it must be a wildlife reserve to protect the country's rare animals, especially after the civil war phase that decimated the animals in all the country's parks.

Large abandoned quarry 2 kilometers south of the village and the archeological park of gigantic magmatite rocks, about 2.2 billion years old, that also served thousands of years of Neolithic and prehistoric cultures as ceremonial cult locations, stone tool workshops, and residence. The biggest danger for the site is the uncontrolled rock quarrying, exemplified by this enormous quarry along the road on the western side of the village, currently abandoned and filled with rainwater, forming a huge lake with granite walls. Maybe this site also contained similar archeological values that are now destroyed. Even if there were any archeological findings in the nearby park, they have to be buried, as anything at the surface of the unprotected park has long been pilfered. https://whc.unesco.org/fr/listesindicatives/5087

Excellent site for nature camping in the city; with your own tents or using those offered. Dahliafleur was originally owned by an Italian operator named Italo Barbeta. Given by President Félix Houphouët-Boigny for the purpose of developing a flower plantation, this land is named after his favorite plant – the Dahlia. He died in Ivory Coast a few decades ago and was buried in his reserve where the remains of his tomb are still visible. Covering an area of 150 hectares, the reserve has been managed by the State since October 14, 2004 and declared a public utility domain in October 2007 with the name “Partial Nature Reserve of Dahliafleur”. This main entrance is off the west-bound lane of the main highway. There is a mountain bike rental (about €5 per day) and the entrance ranger station (5000 FCFA for non-residents, 1000 FCFA for locals). For biking access one of the other side entrances might be more appropriate. One is just half a km east along the Route de Dabou, the other is on the Western side of the park.

The main entrance to D'Azagny National Park is 9 kilometers of unpaved road south of Irobo and the coastal road. Access is 1000 FCFA for citizens of West Africa / 5000 F other nationalities. One can drive to the Eco-Hotel, or take a guide (normally obligatory at F5000 per group) to follow the 4 kilometer route on foot to try to see animals, especially if it is early in the morning. From the base of the Ecohotel there is another 4 km of path on an old road to the ruins of the German camp and the boarding for a one kilometer excursion by canoe to the small island (outside the rainy seasons), and the 4 km parallel botanical trail.
