Οι καλύτερες διαδρομές και πεζοπορίες Hersbruck

Η ονομασία «Πύλη της Νυρεμβέργης» προέρχεται από το γεγονός ότι το Heldburg περιήλθε στους Βουργράβους της Νυρεμβέργης το 1353. Υπό την κυριαρχία των Βουργράβων της Νυρεμβέργης (των μετέπειτα Hohenzollern), η πόλη οχυρώθηκε. Ο αρχιτέκτονας Caspar Bock από τη Νυρεμβέργη συνέβαλε σημαντικά στην επέκταση των οχυρώσεων της πόλης τον 16ο αιώνα, γεγονός που εδραίωσε αρχιτεκτονικά τη σύνδεση με την πόλη της Νυρεμβέργης.

The trail (in the map "Hersbruck Circular Trail No. 1") is difficult to find or follow, at least currently (August 2025). Fallen wood is everywhere, and no path is visible. You have to "feel" your way a (short) way toward the "Westlicher Albrandweg."

Beautiful bathing lake with many small bays where you can be alone.

A beautifully landscaped park with a variety of roses and other plants. There are many benches inviting you to linger, a fountain in the back, and two sculptures commemorating the suffering. Hersbruck was a satellite camp of the Flossenbürg concentration camp. The concentration camp memorial is located directly behind the rose garden on Badstraße.

Beautiful excursion destination with restaurant

The lake is fed by the Happurger Bach and its left tributary, the Kainsbach. The Happurg pumped-storage power plant, which began operation in 1958 and is owned by Großkraftwerk Franken AG (later acquired by E.ON and now part of Uniper), used the lake as its lower reservoir. The associated upper reservoir is located on the Deckersberg. The lake's average size is approximately 55 hectares. The lake takes its name from the neighboring village of Happurg. It was built by the Nuremberg architect and Nuremberg Culture Prize winner Franz Reichel. As early as 1962, the upper reservoir drained through underground cavities and crevices into which the water from the upper reservoir seeped away. Following further seepage of the water supply, the power plant has been out of operation since January 2011. Renovation work was repeatedly postponed, and completion was initially planned for 2016. As early as 2013, the recommissioning was postponed to 2017 following the submission of the renovation report.
