The Hohenstein in the Süntel hills is a striking rock formation and one of the most popular viewpoints in the Weser Uplands. From the approximately 340-meter-high cliff, there is a sweeping view across the Weser Valley and the surrounding hills. The Hohenstein's rocks are made of sandstone and drop steeply southward into the valley. From the natural viewpoints, especially the so-called "pulpit," the course of the Weser River, which meanders through the landscape in wide bends, is clearly visible. The area is part of the Süntel Nature Reserve and provides habitat for numerous animal and plant species.

Luccaburg Castle was an early medieval lowland castle near Loccum. The tower hill castle of the Counts of Lucca, dating from the 11th/12th century, is recognizable as a massive, round earthen mound. Parts of the 2 m wide circular wall are preserved. A Count Burchard of Lucca is mentioned in documents around 1113 and 1130. His daughter, Beatrice of Lucca, married Count Wilbrand of Hallermund, who thus became his successor and heir. In 1163, he donated the surrounding land to Cistercian monks for the establishment of Loccum Abbey. Luccaburg Castle can only be reached on foot or by bike. In the era of high romanticism (1804-1818), the children's and household tales of the brothers Jacob (1785-1863) and Wilhelm (1786-1859) Grimm were created in 1812 and 1815. Along the German Fairy Tale Route, to which Rehburg-Loccum has belonged since 2019, fairy tales and legends are told and brought to life. In the 18th and early 19th centuries, strolling along the promenade paths in the Rehburg mountains was part of a spa stay in Bad Rehburg. In cooperation with forest owners and the Lower Saxony State Forests, as well as with the support of the State of Lower Saxony and EU funds, the town of Rehburg-Loccum was able to create a Brothers Grimm fairy tale trail along the historic promenades from the Romantic period (1795-1848), on which fairy tales and legends come "to life" with wooden fairy tale figures.
