❤️ This is place is unique. Remote. Lost. It’s a basic but luxurious for those experiences of “refugio” as you have hot water, very comfy beds, and good meals, even a bit of electricity! Rooms are of 4 beds each with a window. The living room is big with windows overlooking the glacier and la Laguna 😊 The staff was very nice 😍 The path to access is of a medium level, or easy for experienced and very sporty people like us. We definitely recommend. Just be ready for the costs, it’s excessively expensive. We paid for 1x adult 250 USD for dinner and breakfast. Register in the entrance of this private natural park when you start the hike!

A very good place to take a break! The location on the Rio La Leona is beautiful, the small hotel offers snacks, drinks and seating inside and outside. Inside there are explanations about the cult street Ruta 40.

This hostel, which seems lost in the middle of nowhere, is perfect for those who want to visit the prehistoric site and the rock shelter of las Manos. The establishment also offers catering and a particularly pleasant bar. The accommodation offered is single rooms or dormitories located in an annex building. If you want to pitch a tent, there is no shortage of space. Just ask for permission first. The information needed to prepare for your visit is generously provided. You can even benefit from vehicle transportation that transports guests to the top of the ridge overlooking the site. You can also walk to the prehistoric site starting directly from the estancia. In this case, leave early.

Old gas station that has probably not been in operation for a long time. There is a small open shed with a generator between the two buildings. In im you can find shelter for the night. A police officer driving by stopped and asked us if everything was OK or if we needed help. They said there was no problem staying here. P.S. There is no water here.

There is a small refuge at the junction of Ruta 40 and Ruta 23 (to El Chalten). It offers great protection from the sometimes very strong wind. It is also possible to stay overnight there. It also has electricity (USB-A sockets) and very good free WiFi. Please keep the place clean (garbage bins in front of the hut) so that other travelers can also find a safe and clean place from the wind.
