It's beautiful

It is not a recommended route when there is snow on the road. The road signs are often on the ground where you cannot see them under the snow.

A fine little circular route. Not demanding, but beautiful with real highlights.

This beautiful valley, which measures 12 kilometers from one end to the other, offers numerous panoramic views that remain stuck in the retina. From meadows to crystalline rivers, through lakes, forests and powerful peaks, this place is magical and deserves to be explored from start to finish.

Parking lot on one side, restaurant (s) on the other, in between several circular hiking trails on different levels; the path right by the water is sometimes flooded depending on the fill level of the lake.

The mountain lake Engolasters is fish waters, so bathing is unfortunately prohibited, surrounded by a dense pine forest, and a popular destination for tourists and leisure / recreation area for locals as with the annual fishing competition.

Make sure to follow the red / orange signs from the Refugio de Perafita to get there the most comfortable way. There's a nice flat spot on the south side, covered by trees and perfect for a mid day snack (or wild camping)
