Theodor Storm was inspired by this natural waterfall for the famous story "The Regentrude". The life-size wooden sculpture "Regentrude" by artist Christoph Haupt, to the left of the bridge over the Geislede, is one of a total of nine wooden sculptures that can be viewed on the Heiligenstadt Sculpture Trail.
