A beautiful hike in a deserted area. I highly recommend it, especially now in spring.

very extreme rock! great caution! a breathtaking feeling to stand up here. Sloping surface and from three sides it goes downhill. clearly visible in the pictures. A head for heights is the prerequisite.

Marvelous spot. You can find multiple natural hot pools here at this location. Next to the river you have enough space for tents. Easily a spot where you could rest for more than one day.

Tasty tea. A few years ago it was found out that Greek mountain tea has an anti-Alzheimer's effect.

the monastery was built in 454 AD. in modern times the monastery was burned on June 12th, 1943 by the Bulgarians who fought with the Germans in the Second World War against Greece.

Once a commercial place to take a bath in the naturally hot water. The site is now closed for many years and the buildings are abandoned. The hot water is still flowing into the cold river, so you can take a very relaxing bath here and it's completely free! But be careful because you might not want to ride your bike again afterwards :) You will not be on your own here since many people from the surrounding villages/cities come regularly.
