The Barant Refuge, located on Colle Barant at 2,373 m above sea level within the Pra-Barant Oasis in the upper Pellice Valley, is a hiking refuge born from the renovation of an old military barracks from the 1930s. Open from June to September, it offers around 30 beds and home cooking. Its panoramic position offers an open view of Monviso, the Conca del Prà and, on clear days, all the way to the Turin plain. By mountain bike it can be reached from the Barbara Lowrie refuge by climbing for almost six kilometres and 620 metres of altitude along a spectacular ex-military dirt road.

Located a few kilometers from Bobbio Pellice in the Pis della Rossa area, in the Carbonieri valley, the refuge is located in a splendid place where you can spend one or more days with family or friends surrounded by nature.

The first structure of the Pian del Re refuge hotel was built by the Municipality of Crissolo in 1874 to accommodate mountaineers intent on climbing the Normal route of Monviso. In 1909 it became privately owned and management passed to the Perotti family, a historic dynasty of mountain guides of Monviso. Numerous paths start from here, both for day trips and for multi-day treks, such as the Giro del Monviso, or mountaineering itineraries, including the Normal route of Monviso. The refuge is open every day from the beginning of June to the end of September and offers 30 beds, in addition to a bar and restaurant service. The Barbara Lowrie refuge is located in Pis della Rossa, in the Carbonieri valley of Bobbio Pellice. It was built in 1928 by a Canadian couple, Walter and Barbara Lowrie, who used it as a hunting lodge. Later, they sold it to the CAI UGET who turned it into a refuge, inaugurating it in 1931. It has a capacity of 24 beds and is open every day from May to October with bar service, restaurant and overnight stay. For more information, visit the refuge website: https://www.rifugiobarbara.it.

The Battaglione Alpini Monte Granero refuge, better known as the Granero refuge, is located at the foot of the mountain of the same name, at 2,377 meters above sea level. Built in 1926 and inaugurated in 1928, it was expanded between the 1980s and 1990s. Today it can accommodate about 50 people and is open from June to September.
