The Ruidera Lakes are one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in Castilla-La Mancha, located between Ciudad Real and Albacete, and form part of the Ruidera Lakes Natural Park. A group of 15 stepped lakes connected by waterfalls and streams, stretching for 25 km in the Upper Guadiana Valley. They are considered the source of the Guadiana River.

Its waters are crystal clear and clean, and it receives input from the streams of Las Hazadillas and Laguna Batana. This lagoon is unique, since it belongs to two provinces: Ciudad Real and Albacete. To get there, you can follow a path that goes through a thick pine forest and will take you to an open area with spectacular views. Furthermore, Laguna Colgada never suffers from drought, since its waters come from an underground aquifer that collects rain and flows through waterfalls to the different lagoons in the park.
